The Sound of Paint (USA)

The-sound-of-paint

Director: Joshua Enoch Williams

An intimate, long-form documentary that traces the life of a Venice Beach street artist over more than a decade, capturing creativity as both survival and expression.

Set against the ever-shifting pulse of the boardwalk, the film listens closely to what art sounds like in real time—improvised, fragile, and deeply human. Through moments of humor, struggle, and quiet resilience, the camera observes how identity is shaped when life is lived in public view.

What emerges is a portrait not just of an artist, but of a place and era that is slowly disappearing.
